Delyth Mclean

Delyth Mclean's music is an exciting take on modern Welsh Music; joining together the soul that Jazz music embodies, the sullen heart that seeps out Rhythm and Blues, all whilst breathing out the tales, heartache and happiness that are found within modern contemporary Folk music. Delyth has been learning and crafting away at her music - her strength lies in her dynamic and melodic integrity, expressed in both Welsh and English. Her influences are drawn from artists spanning many genres that her music touches, such as Led Zeppelin, Tracy Chapman, Stevie Wonder, Jack White, just to name-check a few.

Delyth has played across the entirety of Wales, receiving glowing praise from audiences gradually growing her fan base from her original material, releasing her now sold out limited EP run entitled ‘Gair Y Gwir’, which translates to 'A word of truth', which was quickly snapped up at her shows, leaving many disappointed yet excited and eager to get their hand on her forthcoming release. Her track ‘Without a Gun’ received national airplay on BBC Radio Wales with Adam Walton calling the track, “bristling Welsh creativity!” Delyth has gone on to have a daytime BBC Radio Wales session and interview with Jamie Owen on his show in February 2014 and a live session on S4C’s Y LLE. In-between her busy gigging schedule, supporting the likes of Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, Steve Eaves, Peasant’s King, The People The Poet; Delyth is finishing off her second, as yet untitled, EP, with Amy Wadge (Ed Sheran, Lewis Watson) in the remote and magical Wadge Lodge studio.
